JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Application Management Engineer you will be involved in the Application Management Services (AMS) of the Customer Services team, delivering application management services to the customers. You will implement and execute best practices, techniques and procedures essential to an application's optimal operation, performance and availability to the customers.

You will be responsible for the monitoring of customer critical applications, raising and monitoring critical logs and working directly with our customer's internal and external teams to troubleshoot and support incidents regarding customer's applications and systems. Follow-up with users and support staff on requests and incident tickets.

Leveraging your problem solving skills and accurate working methods, you will work in collaboration with the Customer Srervices team, on a wide variety of business and technical issues in a fast pace environment that is managed using ITIL methodology.

As an Application Management Engineer, you will report to the Service Delivery Manager.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Understand the technical architecture of our customer's solutions;
- Implement, optimize, test and release the data management scripts, hotfixes, system monitoring scripts on the customer's environment;
- Application monitoring: Monitor logs and systems. Manage exceptions engaging with our customer's Consultants and System Engineers;
- Early morning poduction monitoring and application management of customer's applications;
- Overnight on-call support, in shifts, with other AMEs.
- Working directly with clients and Customer Services team to troubleshoot and support incidents regarding custom applications and systems issues;
- Assist in the project team charged with the implementation of our customer's products at their customers, more specifically the technical and data integration between the banking applications;
- Participate in regular customer service status meetings;
- Validate and keep the customer environments up-to-date (internally and customer).

REQUIREMENTS

- Degree in IT or equivalent through experience;
- Knowledge of financial and banking applications is an asset;
- Very good verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in IT application support services;
- Occasional travel may be required;
- An early start (6 AM CET), potentially from home, is a requirement.
